LuvYourGirls.com is a website which was created originally to give me peace and help me through my oddessy of cancer. By sharing my story with others, it helped others share their stories, which in turn helped them heal.
When I was in the "Gray Box" (the infusion room), I remember the sadness in people's eyes, and their colorless skin. The walls were stark white. The only color was the orange toxic liquid concoction which was dripping into my arm.
It was during those gray box days that I decided, I would paint pictures of vibrant colors to wash away the gray, to share those colors with others, to help them get through their gray box days.
LuvYourGirls is all about supporting and being there for each other.

If breast cancer is found in the early stages, it is very treatable.
- Gone are the dark ages when women had no networks
- Gone are the days when little information was known about breast cancer
- Gone are the days when you thought the doctors should know everything that was right for you. You have to get involved. You have to be proactive in your cancer journey
Fortunately for our girls,the medical field has come along way in their research, knowledge and treatment on breast cancer. Today, doctors can use less radical procedures in early stages instead of automatically telling us that we have to lose our girls to a masectomy. We are so fortunate to have so many resources available to us. Take advantage and empower yourself.
Although the networks, resources and awareness are there, we need to keep the movement going so one day breast cancer will be something of the past.
Whatever slang words you call them, speed bumps, boobs, melons, ta tas, bubbles, they are your girls. Your girls can make you feel sexy. Your girls can give you confidence. Your girls deserve the best care, keep them healthy.
